The erection and transfer of the truss swing span for the 145th Street Bridge over the Harlem River. This movable bridge section was erected on land and loaded onto a barge in Coeymans, NY. The site of this swing span assembly was approximately 200 miles north of its final delivery location in New York City. The span was assembled, loaded onto barges, transported to site, and then floated into place.

Rehabilitation of an historic railroad bridge that spans the Fifth Branch of the Mohawk River and the New York State Erie canal. This goal was to convert the existing bridge, which carried rail traffic and light vehicular traffic, to allow unrestricted vehicular traffic loading and a scenic pedestrian walkway. This conversion needed to be accomplished without sacrificing the historic appeal of this local landmark that sits at the confluence of the Mohawk and Hudson Rivers. This multiple span truss bridge was originally built by the American Bridge Company in the early 1900’s to provide railroad access to the island when it had a ship yard and manufacturing facility.

Replacement of an existing bridge that spans the Saratoga Lake outlet. The goal of the project was to replace the existing narrow, structurally obsolete, 600’ long triple truss bridge. The replacement structure had wider traffic lanes, sidewalks on both sides, higher capacity and provided more clearance for boat traffic.
