Voluntary Protection Program

DAC is has been a leader in the construction industry and committed to safety for over 60 years. As part of our commitment to safety DAC decided to take the next step enroll in the Voluntary Protection Program. The VPP is an alliance between OSHA and the company (DAC) to set performance-based criteria for a managed safety and health system.  This alliance has statistically been proven to reduce the company’s injuries and illness’s.  The average VPP worksite has a Days Away Restricted or Transferred (DART) case rate of 52% below the average for its industry.  This keeps our insurance costs down, which in turn allows us to provide our customers with a competitive cost estimate for your project.

DA Collins has four companies that are a part of the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program (VPP).  The VPP promote effective worksite-based safety and health. In the VPP, management, labor, and OSHA establish cooperative relationships at workplaces that have implemented a comprehensive safety and health management system. Approval into VPP is OSHA’s official recognition of the outstanding efforts of employers and employees who have achieved exemplary occupational safety and health.

Four of the DA Collins Companies currently have the VPP Merit status.  These include: DA Collins Construction, Kubricky Construction, DA Collins Environmental, and the D.A. Collins Maintenance Shop in Wilton. To learn more about the VPP Program visit OSHA’s web site at www.osha.gov/dcsp/vpp/index.html
